The Batik film festival 2009 edition is held in Perugia! From December 10 to December 14 Perugia welcomes the 12th edition of batik Film Festival. This edition of “Imaginary e Cinema Festival” dedicated to the international and independent cinema. Quality is the real characteristic criterion in selecting films scheduled, for the rest there is no diversification between short and feature movies or between film and digital movies.The bATìK Film Festival is not competitive: the goal is to provide a review that affects the audience, in fact, the subtitle of the 2008 is “Inventory and the imaginary bestiary of the new Babylon“.
The bATìK Film Festival is not limited to the presentation of movies, but also to the theater, with a tribute to “Teatri Riuniti” and Toni Servillo. Furthermore Philippe and Louis Garrel (La frontiere de l’aube). Among the great guests include Enrico Ghezzi, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Amir Naderi, and for the theater Licia Maglietta.
Inside the bATìK Film Festival will be awarded the Prix “Jean Vigo” for Italian movies who have distinguished themselves for social and / or adolescence issues. There’s also an important tribute to Antonio Rezza (“Rezza in persona”) and a section dedicated to movies and videogames.
